Gardening is always a funny experience...and by that I mean you need a good sense of humor. You might think you've bought enough tomato plants and basil for a year's worth of canning/freezing....but it turns out that the only crop you really get LOTS of is banana peppers and you didn't even mean to buy banana peppers (I'm still trying to figure out how that happened!).
But, I've learned to can banana pepper rings. Lots and lots of them! Incidentally, the pepper season is doing so well here in Northern Virginia that a farmer at the market asked me how to can them... at least, I'm not the only one!
