We spent a lovely fall weekend at Claude Moore Colonial Farm's Market Fair. Jeff and Vince did some great forging, making Frederick crosses and cooking implements (i.e. trivets, a tripod, vegetable skewers, and a beautiful spit). As always, the fair offers many entertainments and artists (i.e. spinners, rope-makers, pewter-smiths, children's games, fencing, etc..). Here are some scenes:

A Wonderful Weekend at May Market Fair at Claude Moore Colonial Farm
As always, we had a great time at the May Market Fair at Claude Moore Colonial Farm. We set up two anvils, as well as the "kid-friendly" anvil with aluminum that bends without being heated, and enjoyed a weekend of teaching and visiting....plus, good food, a chance to see some wonderful artists in action, and even Florence the sheep who was set up in a pen next to us! Claude Moore is a special event and we look forward to July's fair on the 19th and 20th.

A Gathering of Friends at Claude Moore's Colonial Market Fair
We had a wonderful time at Claude Moore Colonial Farm’s October Market Fair. It was truly a gathering of friends on both sides of the safety ropes, as we had friends forging with us and as we also got to catch up with lots of regular visitors. We’ve been doing these Market Fairs for the past 4 years and it’s always nice to see everyone.
We focused on forging rookers and votive candleholders both days of the fair. And, what’s a Market Fair without turkeys or geese roaming the grounds, not to mention the famous call of “Bread, Bread for Sale”…?
Please mark your calendars now for the May Market Fair at Claude Moore on May 18th and 19th— we’d love to see you!
