Friday in Focus: Sun-kissed Goldenrod

As we receive the first snow flurries of late fall/early winter, I find comfort in this photo from River Farm (the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society).  Full of warmth and sun, snow seems a long ways away.....

Friday in Focus: Cosmos at River Farm

I love Cosmos.  These were enjoyed at River Farm, the headquarters of the American Horticultural Society -- one of my favorite places for nature photography!

My Soap is at the AHS Gift Shop

I'm very happy to announce that the American Horticultural Society's Gift Shop at River Farm is now carrying my soap!  At present, they have peppermint/lavender and lemongrass/peppermint bars.   Please visit River Farm, tour the house and grounds, and check out their lovely selection of items in the gift shop.  It's one of our favorite places.

Surprise! One of My Photos Arrives as a Brochure from AHS

When I looked through the mail yesterday afternoon, I was surprised to see one of my photos as part of a brochure from the American Horticultural Society!  I did know that they had used this photo in one of their brochures, so it wasn’t a bad surprise at all, but it it was still a bit of a shock to be ruffling through the bills and junk mail, etc…and see one of my photos in the mix!

It was a good reminder that spring is on the way, despite the snow and freezing rain still coming down this morning.  I actually dug out the seed-starting equipment and am going to start some seeds this morning.
