I work at Mount Vernon tomorrow and I am ever so grateful for hand and toe warmers! It's not easy to do living history interpretation in full costume during the winter months!

Equipment
We get a lot of questions about what tools we use. For blacksmithing, Jeff makes a lot of specialized tools for certain projects, but he does use a Brent Bailey cross-peen hammer and a J. Blurton rounding hammer. We also use a Chile Tabasco propane forge and a 335-lb EuroAnvil. For photography, Caitlin uses a Nikon D7000 and various Nikon lenses (35 mm 1:1.8G, 12-24mm 1:4 G, 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G, and 60mm 1:2.8G macro).
