We spent a couple of hours today at Color on the Creek in Frederick, Maryland. As their website says, "Color on the Creek is a project to enhance the water quality and aesthetics of the Carroll Creek Linear Park...This effort focuses on the use of lilies, lotuses, and other water plants to limit the growth of algae, currently a challenging problem within the creek." It is remarkable..A friend had told us the other day how much she enjoyed the lilies...we did too, and the boys LOVED the huge fish. Xander preferred the ducks!
We are Jeff Dunkelberger and Caitlin Garvey, a husband and wife team, doing our best to explore our creative selves while at the same time raising two active young boys and working professionally.
We get a lot of questions about what tools we use. For blacksmithing, Jeff makes a lot of specialized tools for certain projects, but he does use a Brent Bailey cross-peen hammer and a J. Blurton rounding hammer. We also use a Chile Tabasco propane forge and a 335-lb EuroAnvil. For photography, Caitlin uses a Nikon D7000 and various Nikon lenses (35 mm 1:1.8G, 12-24mm 1:4 G, 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6G, and 60mm 1:2.8G macro).
